房斌,博士,重慶大學計算機學院教授,博導。重慶大學模式識別與信息處理研究所所長。1989年畢業(yè)于西安交通大學信息與控制工程系, 1994年在四川大學無線電系獲得碩士學位。2001年5月在香港大學電機與電子工程系獲得博士學位,專業(yè)方向模式識別。2001年9月至2003年12月作為博士后研究員在新加坡國立大學新加坡-美國麻省理工聯盟(Singapore-MIT Alliance)計算機科學組工作。2004年2月至2005年5月在香港浸會大學(HKBU)計算機系任助理教授(Assistant Professor)。主要研究方向為:模式識別,圖像處理,生物特征鑒定,生物醫(yī)學圖像分析,文本處理等。作為研究項目的負責人或主研人員完成了并正在承擔多項基金項目和研究課題。擔任高等教育出版社出版,Springer全球發(fā)行的英文期刊《Frontiers of Computer Sciecne in China》編委(Editor)。擔任國際IEEE學會香港智能計算分會委員會秘書(2004-2006)。擔任眾多國際學術會議程序委員會成員。是國際上模式識別研究領域一流期刊 IEEE Trans.PAMI, IEEE Trans. IP, IEEE Tran. MI, IEEE Trans. BME, IEEE Trans. SMC, Pattern Recognition, International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence等的特約審稿人。

長期從事模式識別及圖像處理等領域的科學研究,取得了一系列高創(chuàng)新性,具有國際先進水平的研究成果。特別是因在科學技術進步工作中作出了重大貢獻而榮獲2005年教育部提名國家自然科學獎一等獎。

發(fā)表論文50余篇,其中SCI檢索二十多篇,EI檢索二十多篇。在國際著名的本領域頂級期刊IEEE Transactions BME,IEEE Transactions SMC,IEEE Transactions NB, Pattern Recognition, International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence等上發(fā)表近十篇高水平的研究論文。
