狄德滿 Rolf Gerhard Tiedemann

男，中國(guó)史研究著名學(xué)者，1941年出生于德國(guó)，先后取得美國(guó)威斯康星大學(xué)(Milwaukee)學(xué)士、英國(guó)倫敦大學(xué)碩士和博士學(xué)位。先后在英國(guó)倫敦大學(xué)亞非學(xué)院、英國(guó)赫特福德大學(xué)、英國(guó)劍橋大學(xué)、美國(guó)舊金山大學(xué)等國(guó)際知名大學(xué)任教，曾任The Journal of Peasant Studies、The  Journal of Agrarian Change等期刊主編�，F(xiàn)為英國(guó)倫敦大學(xué)國(guó)王學(xué)院中華基督宗教研究中心資深研究員，美國(guó)舊金山大學(xué)利瑪竇中西歷史文化研究所學(xué)術(shù)委員會(huì)成員。其研究領(lǐng)域主要為中國(guó)基督教史、義和團(tuán)運(yùn)動(dòng)以及1840年后的中國(guó)社會(huì)運(yùn)動(dòng)等。

其代表作有Reference Guide to Christian Missionary Societies in China: From the 16th to the 20th Century(Armonk, N.Y.: M.E. Sharpe, 2009)、Handbook of the History of Christianity in China, Vol. 2: 1800 to the Present (Leiden: Brill, 2009.)等。論文有：《西方義和團(tuán)運(yùn)動(dòng)研究一百年》、《大刀會(huì)與義和團(tuán)的關(guān)系》、《基督教與現(xiàn)代中國(guó)社會(huì)歷史——東西方學(xué)術(shù)理路的態(tài)度變遷》、《梨園屯教案和義和拳的起源《義和團(tuán)民與天主教徒在華北的武裝沖突》；“Roman Catholicism: A Marginal Religion in China”、 “Controlling the Virgins: Female Propagators of the Faith and the Catholic Hierarchy in China”等。

2011年6月，被聘為山東大學(xué)一級(jí)教授。
