“英語詞匯學(xué)習(xí)叢書”由美國著名的教材教輔出版社Townsend Press出版，是美國大學(xué)生使用最為廣泛的擴(kuò)大詞匯的教學(xué)輔導(dǎo)圖書之一。在美國一個學(xué)生的前途在某種程度上取決于他的詞匯量的大小。對于我國廣大英語學(xué)習(xí)者來說，詞匯學(xué)習(xí)當(dāng)然是英語學(xué)習(xí)的一個重要方面。
本叢書共有6冊。每冊介紹240-300個在TOEFL、GRE、SAT等測試中經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)的單詞。本叢書的特點(diǎn)是引導(dǎo)學(xué)生根據(jù)上下文的語境，包括例證、同義、異義、類比等關(guān)系來理解單詞，通過反復(fù)練習(xí)、多次使用來熟悉和記憶單詞，從而摒棄死記硬背的學(xué)習(xí)方法。書中對每個關(guān)鍵單詞提供的各類練習(xí)能讓學(xué)生反復(fù)使用該單詞達(dá)10次左右。此外，書中部分練習(xí)題的題型與TOEFL、GRE、SAT等美國常用入學(xué)考試的形式相似，對于我國有志于出國留學(xué)的學(xué)生熟悉題型也有一定的幫助。
