　　一、學(xué)科（領(lǐng)域）概況（Diciplines Instruction）
　　電氣工程是2001年獲得工程碩士學(xué)位授予權(quán)。電能作為現(xiàn)代最主要的二次能源，其生產(chǎn)和傳輸已形成了“電力工業(yè)”。電能的生產(chǎn)、傳輸、使用及其控制設(shè)備，也在不斷地發(fā)展或更新，向智能化、成套化、高效能發(fā)展，逐步與電子計(jì)算機(jī)、微電子技術(shù)、電力電子技術(shù)相結(jié)合，形成新型的電工技術(shù)與設(shè)備，電氣工程在國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)、科學(xué)技術(shù)的發(fā)展中正起著越來(lái)越重要的作用。電氣工程領(lǐng)域主要包括：電能生產(chǎn)、傳輸及其使用全過(guò)程中，電力系統(tǒng)安全、可靠、經(jīng)濟(jì)地運(yùn)行，各類(lèi)電氣設(shè)備和系統(tǒng)的設(shè)計(jì)、制造、運(yùn)行、測(cè)量和控制等相關(guān)方面的工程技術(shù)。本工程領(lǐng)域與電子與通信工程、計(jì)算機(jī)技術(shù)、控制工程、材料工程、機(jī)械工程、儀器儀表工程、動(dòng)力工程等工程領(lǐng)域均有緊密的聯(lián)系。該學(xué)科培養(yǎng)有關(guān)電能傳輸、設(shè)計(jì)、生產(chǎn)、運(yùn)行、測(cè)量和控制等方面的高層次科學(xué)研究、工程技術(shù)與管理專門(mén)人才和高等學(xué)校師資。
　　該學(xué)科依托遼寧省重點(diǎn)學(xué)科—電力電子與電力傳動(dòng)和遼寧省重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室—工礦電氣設(shè)備與電力電子技術(shù)實(shí)驗(yàn)室開(kāi)展研究工作。近年來(lái)，該專業(yè)獲得6項(xiàng)國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金，橫、縱向課題100余項(xiàng)，出版著作10部，省部級(jí)獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)20余項(xiàng)，發(fā)表論文500余篇，其中EI和ISTP收錄近80篇，獲得國(guó)家專利30項(xiàng)，其中發(fā)明專利1項(xiàng)。該專業(yè)現(xiàn)有教師38人，其中教授12人，具有博士學(xué)位15人，博士后1人，副教授15人，講師18人，助教3人，該學(xué)科已經(jīng)為廠礦企業(yè)培養(yǎng)80余名工程碩士。為老東北工業(yè)基地的建設(shè)做出了一定的貢獻(xiàn)。 
　　Electrical Engineering，the first batch of subjects received the right to grant master degree in engineering in 2001. As the modern most main secondary energy sources, the production and the transmission of power energy have formed “the power industry”. The power energy 's production, transmission, using and controlling device, is also developing or renewing unceasingly to the intellectualization, the complete set and the high efficiency. That unifies with the electronic computer, the microelectronic technology and the power electronic technology, and forms the new electrical engineering technology and equipment. The development of electrical engineering is playing more and more important role in the national economy and science and technology's development. The electrical engineering domain mainly includes: the power energy production, transmission and using in the entire process, the power system runs security, reliably and economically, each kind of electrical equipment and system's designing, manufacturing, running, measurement and control engineering technology related. The domain has compact relation with following engineerings: electronic and the communication engineering, the computer technology, the control engineering, materials engineering, the mechanical engineering, instruments and meters project, power engineering. The subject fosters high-level scientific researchers, engineering technician, administration talents and college teachers on the transmission,design, production, operation, surveying and control of electric power.
　　The subject carries out research relying on Liaoning Province key Subject (Power Electronics and Electric Drive) and Liaoning Province Key Laboratory (Mining Electrical Equipment and Power Electronics Technology Laboratory). In recent years, this subject has received 6 research projects of National Natural Science Foundation, more than 100 projects of horizontal and vertical issues and more than 20 Ministerial and Provincial-Level Science and Technology Awards. 10 scholarly treatise and more than 500 papers have been published, and nearly 80 of these papers were embodied in EI and ISTP. This subject gets 15 national Patents, including a patent of invention. The amount of teachers of this subject is 38, including 12 professors, 15 doctors and 1 post-doctoral, 15 vice-professors, 18 lecturers, 3 teaching assistants. This subject has cultivated more than 80 masters of engineering for mining enterprises. It has made some contribution to the construction of old industrial bases in the Northeast.
